I'd love to see Speech and Debate classes work with the section of the film where former IRS Commissioner Sheldon Cohen is interviewed by Aaron Russo - it's full of examples of non-logic and avoiding the question! It'd be a great classroom tool for this purpose.

The scene you reference, the scene where the former Director of the Internal Revenue Service answers Aaron Russo's questions should not only be shown to university students, it should be required viewing prior to filing an income tax return! The former Director of the IRS is completely oblivious of the double think/double speak he is engaged in! It was an amazing scene where you have a bureaucrat defending an imaginary mandate. The premise for the film is outstanding and very simple ... "Where is the law?" If you haven't seen this film yet, I highly recommend it for the mental stimulation and profound implications! You will be amazed just like millions of other citizens! What ever you do - don't miss this film!
