The story that depicts the real life; happiness, changes, traumas, problems and enjoyment that everybody experienced. The series goes as Kevin reminisce and narrates his teenager junior high school life who encounters puberty, deal with ups and downs, take adventure and hanging out with his girlfriend Winnie and geeky but cool best friend Paul. Old Kevin narrates how their friendship goes up and down, face many problems such as health issues, break ups, confusion and misunderstanding but they always keep trust for all things they share and honesty to the one they love. In the final episode, Kevin and Winnie got deep argue about as their relationship got worst due to third parties. The elders who help on that day drop them off the heavy rain for them realize what's happening and discuss how things change and remember the things they've used to share. In the final epilogue, Paul went to Harvard for college while Winnie ends up studying Art History in Paris & writing up with Kevin for the next eight years. Old Kevin narrates when he greet Winnie as she comes back to US, accompanied by his wife and his infant son and tells: " Growing up happens in a heartbeat. One day you're in diapers, the next day you're gone. But the memories of childhood stay with you for the long haul. I remember a place, a town, a house like a lot of other houses, a yard like a lot of other yards, on a street like a lot of other streets. And the thing is, after all these years, I still look back, with wonder." The Dramedy story of The Wonder Years was created by Carol Black and Neal Marlens and won multiple awards from Emmy, Golden Globe, Humanitaz Prize and many more. Run six seasons with total 115 episodes aired from 1988 to 1993, a perfect example real life adventure. |

May sounds like just another soap, but Thirthysomething is a TV series showing new standards of drama showing unique atmosphere, more realistic character's minds, place settings and surreal world environment of people struggling life as adult in age of Thirty Something. Story about Hope and Michael, a couple dealing with adult angst and showing how they live in environment with their best friends, cousins, celebrations, in their works and health issues, and also with some people in wrong affairs. The show was created by Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick, they deep emphasize how people live life at certain age, who knows enough in life but still confused by it. " You want to have a baby but you want to have a job. You want to be free but you want to settle down. You don't want a lot of responsibilities, but you want to make a living. And it cuts deeper than the questions of life-style: you want to be honest but you don't want to be hurtful; you want to be accommodating but you want what you want; you want to be grateful but you're also in pain. And it's just the fact that we aren't the first to attempt any of the things we're stumbling through that leads us to hope that twentysomethings and fiftysomethings will identify with it as well. - Quantum Leap -
The Sci-Fi TV series about the top-secret US Government funded project Quantum Leap led by Dr. Sam Beckett theorizing that "One could time-travel within his own lifetime, run by a supercomputer called Ziggy." Quantum Leap in physics (Quantum Jump) is the change of electron from one energy state to another within an atom, from one energy level to another instantaneously. The adventurous story of the series starts when the project was pressured to prove the theories or lose it's funding, Dr. Beckett prematurely stepped onto the "accelerator chamber" and vanished, found himself trapped in the past facing mirror images of person that was not his own. The story gives tease to viewers and guess as Dr. Sam randomly leaping from life to life as an adult, male, female, child, white, black, etc, crossing the story to many theme from science fiction to family drama, comedy, social commentary or nostalgia, and winning the show a broad range of fans wait for next episode and when Sam will be leap back home. With the help of Dr. Sam's companion Albert "Al" Calavicci who appears as a holographic projection using "imaging chamber", visible and audible to Sam and also young children, animals and mentally ill/fatally wounded persons can see and speak with Al. They got the chance to correct the past and put wrong to right; preventing Al's first wife Beth to fall in love with other while Al is in Vietnam war, correct many mistakes and misjudging and even avert tragedies in ordinary people's lives. Some part of the series where Sam meets the Evil Leaper telling him "Who gave you the right to go bungling around in time, putting right what I made wrong?" while in the last episode some feel that the bartender Sam meets, portrays God and tells Sam that his project was messed up for purpose: to change history for better. Multi-award winning Sci-Fi TV Series Quantum Leap won awards from Emmy, Golden Globe, Directors Guild of America Award and more, completed 5 seasons with total of 97 episodes aired from 1989 to 1993. - Maverick -
The classic Award-winning Western TV series Maverick was started as a straight drama but later turn into comedy streak & sense of humor, catch wide audience and made the series soared top ten place in Nielsen Ratings on it's second season. Maverick is a story about a adventurous gambler Bret Maverick roaming around Old West, migrating from town to town and always looking for a good game. Bret Maverick, played by James Garner, was well known in his dressing and personality, wearing screen-cowboy custom fancy black broadcloth gambler's suit, speaking realistically and being courageous in risking his life. In later seasons he was joined with his brother Bart, Brent, and an English-accent cousin Beau. They all famous gambler, pursuing money and easy life, with their favorite games Poker (5 card draw) and odd cards Three-toed Sloth winning a lot of money but getting them in trouble, and together they find way stay out and leave the town. Garner's unique charisma and his subtly comedic facial expressions become a cultural western cowboy icon, but critics noted Maverick to be "arguably the first TV anti-hero" which later became a norm in films. Famous episodes were "According to Hoyle" (appearance of Diane Brewster of Cheyenne), "Gun Shy" (spoof of Gunsmoke) and the pilot episode "War of the Silver Kings" (based on C.B. Glasscock's "War of the Copper King", a real life adventure of a copper mine speculator). Maverick's comedic and sense of humor carried entirely in the show of adventures and misadventures of Mavericks, the series completed 5 seasons with 124 episodes from 1957 to 1962 on ABC. |

- Get Smart -
Popular TV Series in mid 1960's Get Smart, an American comedy show aired from 1965 - 1970. The story about Secret Agent No. 86, Maxwell Smart who assigned to foil the KAOS plans who wanted to take over the world. He took all his misadventures, together with his assistant, Ms. Agent 99 who always there to help him and later become his wife and mother of twin. With those cool gadgets Agent Smart use, making phone calls using bologna sandwich or on his shoes, a kitchen sink used as camera, tape recorder or as weapon, a finger-gun turned into a weapon and more things he use are so wacky to fight KAOS and free the world. Final seasons of the series, Max and Ms. Agent got married and gifted with twins who later became also agents. Max is the chief of the CONTROL and Ms. Agent 99 as a Congresswoman. In the final episode, Max accidentally pressed the atomic bomb button before the show end. The Emmy award-winning comedy hit TV series Get Smart completed 5 seasons with 138 episodes, aired from 1965-1970. |
